Curtains are a versatile and essential addition to any home, office or commercial space. They can be used for many purposes both functional and decorative, such as blocking the sun from entering your space, giving you complete privacy within your home, as well as improving the overall aesthetic of your living area and creating a space that you naturally feel at home in.

You'll find something for any application in our extensive variety of colours, patterns & styles that best suits your needs.

Curtains can be one of the most inexpensive ways to keep your home warm and cozy. These window treatments provide insulation against harsh weather elements, especially when combining them with blinds or other curtains to form a double layer. Curtains not only offer protection from cold drafts in winter but also reduce the temperature from the scorching heat of the summer months!

Curtains are a great way to add personality and class into your space. Heavier fabric curtains can add a sense of sophistication and formality, and are excellent for purposes such as providing privacy, or blocking out light. Silk curtains on the other hand create a feeling of luxury, however it is usually chosen more for its visual appeal as it does lack some practicality. If you're looking for something with more of an elegant look but still want versatility then sheer fabric may work best. Add to this, the fact that so many patterns are available from basic stripes to paisleys and even flowers there's sure to be one that fits anyone’s taste - whether they have classic tastes or prefer modern styles!

Some of the more popular curtain styles we supply include:

Pleated Curtains

Pleated curtains characteristically are pulled or pinched together in even widths at the top of the curtain, and as such as are usually made from heavier curtain materials. Depending on how the pleat is gathered, they can form the different types of pleated curtain styles such as Pinch pleat or Tailored pleat, Box pleat, Goblet pleat and Pencil pleat.

Eyelet Curtains

Also referred to as Grommet curtains, Eyelet curtains are the perfect modern choice for bedroom windows. Their rod is threaded through open eyelet or grommet holds at the top of the curtain to support the panels. The eyelets allow you to easily open or close your curtains by sliding them along the rod. Be sure that any curtain rods and finials accentuate the elegant curves of these panels; after all, they will be on display through those decorative eyes!

Rod-pocket Curtains

Rod-pocket curtains are made of lightweight and sheer fabrics, which make them more of a casual style finishing. They are simple in that the curtain rod slides through the pocket sewn into the back of the curtain panels. Rod-pocket curtains usually go well with an additional layer so are great for  pairing with blackout drapes.  Due to the pocket style, they are more compatible with thinner style curtain rods that typically aren't opened or closed frequently, so it's best if you use them only for decoration rather than function.

Back Tab Curtains

Back tab curtains are a great option for those who want an elegant and clean line. This type of curtain has tabs or loops sewn on the back of the curtain that are not seen from the front. The rod then slips through the loops to create this illusion of a floating curtain. This type of curtain just uses the rod to hang them, without any hardware needed. They are usually suited to environments where they are more decorative due to it being a bit more difficult to slide the curtain on the rod than other styles.

Tab-top Curtains

Tab-top curtains use a rod which slide through large loops or ‘tabs’ at the top of the curtain. They are a popular choice for decorating farmhouse and cottage homes due to the curtain panels hanging, below the loops, and they are typically used to accent printed or patterned fabrics. The tab is also an easy way to loop around hooks on walls in order to support your rod without any hassles!

Curtain Width is a factor that needs to be considered when determining your solution. Single width curtains are ideal for larger windows as they are made from a single piece of fabric and can be drawn to the wall either way on either side to open them up. In comparison, Double-width curtains consist of 2 pieces of material, one to each side of the window which pull together in the centre. These are suited to most standard sized windows and create an elegant and stylish appearance in any room. Whichever style you choose, is important to remember that the curtain should be at least 2.5 times the length of the window it is covering. This will allow for it to sit and fall as intended without any compromise of its visual appeal.

Curtain length is also an important consideration when choosing your curtains. The 3 main lengths for curtains are:

Float – where the curtains hang, or ‘float’ just above the floor, usually with no more than 3cm of space between the floor and bottom of the curtain

Kiss – where the curtain just touch, or ‘kiss’ the floor, which usually involves precise measurement to ensure they are the correct length for maximum effect

Puddle – where the bottom of the curtains actually touches the floor and gathers in a ‘puddle’, which is usually used in more formal rooms with heavier curtain materials
